What is a JPX file?
How can I open a JPX file?

JPX file extension format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Below you will find our evaluation of the JPX files:
The JPX file extension is not common and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 25% of all JPX files save the data in JPG file format. JPEG is the standard image format for lossy and compressed image data. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The files are often between 100 KB and 260 KB in size. The file type was created 10 years ago, but is still used today. The keywords Exif are typical for these files. An example of a file name is DPS00001.JPX.
- 35% of all JPX files belong to jalbum image info. The files are using the common file format config. A configuration file is used by computer software to store settings. It consists of a text-based content with a structure and syntax comprising key–value pairs for properties, and sections that organize the properties. These files are text files, so they contain words and text. JPX files can be up to 40 bytes in size, but are often around 30 bytes - 31 bytes. The files contain the following words: [Detail] and Rotation=90.000000. These files are often associated with person-related data.
All the rest of the JPX files (40%) have different formats, the following 6 formats exist: JPEG 2000 eXtended bitmap and JBuilder Project. You can get all the details of your JPX file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .jpx file to view" above.
