Opening LGD Files
The LGD file type is primarily associated with SQLite Browser.
What is an LGD file?
- SQLite database file – This file stores structured data using an SQL engine. You can inspect the file header for a tag like 'SQLite format 3'. To view or edit such files, tools like DB Browser for SQLite or the SQLite official site are useful.
- Logo data file – This file contains design data used by LogoGenie. It stores logo elements in a proprietary format. For this use case, the LogoGenie application is needed to open and modify the file.
FilExt.com note: Review the file header with a text editor to know which type you have. This step will help you choose the correct tool for opening and viewing the file.
How to open LGD files
You need a suitable software like SQLite Browser to open an LGD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your LGD file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a LGD file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert LGD files:
- SQLite Browser
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. LGD files are often referred to as SQLite Browser databases because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- Windows Application LogUsed for optimizations.
LGD file format:
If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. Nonetheless, different programs can utilize the same file extension to represent distinct file formats. Double-clicking on the file often results in an error when opening. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Our evaluation of the LGD files looks like this:
LGD is not a commonly used file extension and includes various formats for various programs. The following file formats are most commonly found in LGD files:
- 20% of all LGD files are using the well-known SQL file format to store the data. An SQL file contains a lightweight SQLite database, widely used in application development for storing application related data. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are often between 29 KB and 110 MB in size. The file type was developed only in the last few years. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. SQLite format 3 and Ytablesqlite_sequen. 1Cv8.lgd is a typical file name.
- 9% of all LGD files start with the magic bytes BGDATA, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. LGD files are between 1 KB and 27 MB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. BGDATA and DATE. An example of a file name is transactions_diy.lgd. Files like these are about transactions.
The remaining 71% of all LGD files are files with no common format, often e.g. EPA. These files are often connected to lugat, level, legends, logo, lguwpservice, survive, sales or scfa. If you want to find out what your LGD file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.
Technical Data for LGD File Extension
The following listing is compiled from the database produced by the 'Associate This!' program, selected data from the main FILExt database and file extension information submitted by users.
EXEFile: C:\UDEWIN\ude.exe %1
an lgd database file is a special file format and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with LGD files
- Associate the LGD file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open database files. Because only the current version supports the latest LGD file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available SQLite Browser update.
- To make sure that your LGD file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .LGD file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
