MODD file format:
The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Our evaluation of the MODD files looks like this:
The MODD file extension is rather rarely used and mainly uses a defined MODD format. The file formats most commonly found in MODD files are:
- 98% of all MODD files are associated with Picture Motion Browser data files, which internally utilize the well-known XML format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. The contents of these files are easily readable with a text editor. The files are 230 bytes to 1 KB in size, with a median of 380 bytes. This is an old file type which is rarely used today. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>, MetaDataList, array, dict, plist version, string, DateTimeOriginal, real and UserDescription. An example of a file name is 20180601.modd or 20180601.m2ts.modd.
All other MODD files (2%) have different formats. If you want to find out what your MODD file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.
