What is an NFV file

NFV files mostly belong to Netflix by Netflix. Files with NFV filename extension are videos downloaded from Android and iOS versions of Netflix video streaming application. Netflix movies and shows downloaded for offline playback are encrypted and saved in NFV files which can be played with the Neflix application on the same phone. The NFV encrypted video file is saved alongside other video-related data such as the MANIFEST, NFI, NFA, and NFS files. Netflix movies are usually AVCHD/H.264-encoded.

How to open an NFV file

You need a suitable software like Netflix from Netflix to open an NFV file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
