What is a QDV file?

QDV files mostly belong to Quadriga QDFF. Quick Dedup Vault (QDV) files serve two distinct roles:

Deduplication Vault Files: These files use an internal format designed for data deduplication and backup. They are part of systems like QDFF Deduplication Vault developed by Quadriga, where redundant data blocks are minimized to save space.

Compressed Archives: Other QDV files function as compressed containers using ZIP compression. This variant is linked to Devis Express and is sometimes associated with legacy applications such as Quattro Pro for DOS or Quick Devis.

How to open a QDV file

Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
