What is a ROM file?

ROM files mostly belong to Project64 by Zilmar, Shygoo, and Azimer. A ROM file contains a map used in Killing Floor video game. It contains the layout, enemy positions, weapons locations etc. in a given level of the game. Another type of ROM file is the disk image (Read Only Memory) of a Nintendo 64 cartridge. This file contains an exact copy of the video game stored on such a cartridge. Nintendo 64 emulators can load and run a ROM file containing a game. How to open ROM files

All other ROM files (75%) have different formats, often, for example, MSX ROM Image, Killing Floor Map, ZIP, SQL, EXE, ASUSTEK, ACT, GUR, AMINCBLK, NDI, MMM and MORR.
