Programs that open and convert SB2 files:
- Scratch by Scratch Developers
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. SB2 files are often referred to as Scratch developers because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- Serial Box (serial numbers package) by Serial BoxSerial Box is a web application providing access to reference guides and serial number validation tools for the heavy duty equipment industry. A heavy duty equipment serial number package downloaded from Serial Box is saved in an SB2 file. This file format is classified as Data.
SB2 file format details:
If you know the file format, you can also find out how to open or edit the file. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Below you will find our evaluation of the SB2 files:
The SB2 file extension is used very often and is primarily used by a single program. But the following two file formats are common:
- 80% of all SB2 files are based on the zip format, i.e. an SB2 file contains several compressed files. An SB2 file can contain up to 340 files (mostly 6 - 20). File names are e.g. 1.png, 1.svg, 1.wav and project.json. Tip: If you rename the file ending to .zip and then double-click it, you see the included files and images. SB2 files are between 33 KB and 980 KB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. project.json. Files like these are about scratch, game, project, birthday, card, maze, sagatave and activite.
- 20% of all SB2 files belong to SerialBox serials numbers package. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The files are on average 3 MB in size and range from 3.1 MB to 3.2 MB. The files contain the following words: Thanks to, [SerialBox], [greeting], all who contributed, certificate=0, date, issue, issuenumber, lastupdate, revision=0, version=1 and ziplength. The following filename is common: SerialBox01-2020.sb2 or SerialBox12-2019.sb2. Such files sometimes refer to serial.
