What is an SCB file?

Why is it important to know the file format? This is the only way to find out which program to use to open the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our analysis of the SCB files produces the following result:

SCB is a very widely used file extension. The file type covers a large number of different file formats. However, the following two file formats are common:

• 9% of all SCB files start with the bytes CkMp, which are crucial for this file format. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are often between 10 KB and 2 MB in size. This is an old file type which is rarely used today. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as WaypointsList, CkMp, teamOnIdleScript, teamVeterancy, teamUnitType4, teamIsAIRecruitable, teamGenericScriptHook3, teamGenericScriptHook2, teamGenericScriptHook1 and teamOnUnitD. Examples of file names are SkirmishScripts.scb or MultiplayerScripts.scb.
• 8% of all SCB files are based on the popular PDF file format. PDF is short for Portable Document Format, is a file format to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. These files are text files, so they contain words and text. The files are often between 590 KB and 18 MB in size. A usual file name is My Note 2.scb or My Note.scb. These files can be linked to notes, nota and notiz.
