What is an SLN file

SLN files mostly belong to Visual Studio by Microsoft. An SLN file is a shared solution that Visual Studio integrated development environment uses to organize projects. It serves as a container for the state of one or more projects. An SLN file contains text-encoded data used to locate and load the name-value parameters and VSPackages for a C#, C++, or .NET application. This file is saved alongside a SUO file which contains user-specific solution options saved in binary format. Windows Installer XML toolkit can create an installer package using a solution (SLN) and a software project file. SLN is also the native sound format of Asterisk communications application framework.
