What is an SQS file?

SQS files mostly belong to SQL Power Architect. SQS files are not a single standard type. They serve different purposes depending on the software that created them.
For example:

How to open SQS files

You need a suitable software like SQL Power Architect to open an SQS file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. SQS file extension format:

Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Our evaluation of the SQS files is as follows:

The SQS file extension is not common and includes different formats for different programs. However, the following two file formats are common:

• 20% of all SQS files store the data in the XML file format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. These files are text files, so they contain words and text. The files are 34 KB to 160 KB in size, with a median of 67 KB. The keywords <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>, <SQLContainer>, <SQLTable>, name, <schema><![CDATA[]]></schema> and <location> are typical for these files. Such files sometimes refer to model and data.
• 15% of all SQS files start with the magic bytes 87 43 91 02 00 00 00 08, which are always the first bytes of this file format. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. SQS files can be up to 7.9 KB in size, but are often around 7.9 KB - 7.9 KB. Examples of file names are AZS Behringer TD-3 Patterns Vol.1.sqs or kvfive.sqs. These files are often associated with patterns and acid.
