To view or edit TWL files you need to know the file format, because it determines how the data in this file is stored. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. TWL is not that commonly used as a file extension. This file type is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. But the following two file formats are common:
- 50% of all TWL files start with the bytes FF FF 01 00 09 00 43 57 61 79 50 6F 69 6E 74 01 crucial for this file format. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. The files are often between 1 KB and 30 KB in size. The file type was developed only in the last few years. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. CWayPoint. Such files are related to maslul and turbocd.
- 45% of all TWL files use the popular JetDB file format. The JetDB is a database format often used by Microsoft Access and Visual Basic programs. JET is short for Joint Engine Technology. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. TWL files can be up to 260 MB in size, but are often around 14 MB - 77 MB. The keywords Standard Jet DB are typical for these files. The file name 2020-06-01 -BACKUP-Data.twl or Final Backup -BACKUP-Data.twl is typical for these files. Files like these are sometimes connected to backup, data, excel, exel, daily and back.
