• 75% of all UP2 files start with the bytes SMA: crucial for this file format. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. A typical file size is 17 MB. It is a modern file type. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as SMA and R Loop. The following filename is common: SWPB-10_10105R.up2 or SB3.0_6.0-1AV-41-V2020-06-01.R.up2. Such files are related to loop, swpb, stpxx, bluetooth, update, piggy, back, sbsx and sbxx.
• 6% of all UP2 files start with the magic bytes LUKSº¾, which are always the first bytes of this file format. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. UP2 files can be up to 280 MB in size, but are often around 70 MB - 270 MB. The keywords LUKS, sha256 and xts-plain64 are typical for these files. These files can be linked to solix and xplore.
