What is a VLP file?

VLP files mostly belong to Unitronics VisiLogic. VLP files have two distinct uses.

How to open a VLP file

You need a suitable software like Unitronics VisiLogic to open a VLP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. 80% of all VLP files use ZIP compression, so several files are compressed and saved in one VLP file. 1 to 2 compressed files with names like Current_OPLC.udb are common. 8% of all VLP files save the data in EXE file format. EXE is the abbreviation for executable and is the standard executable file format on Windows. The format can be identified by the letters "MZ" at the beginning. Executable files can also be used to distribute viruses and other types of malicious software (malware). The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. A typical file size is 73 KB. The keywords !This program cannot be run in DOS mode are typical for these files. A usual file name is English.vlp.
