What is an XYD file?

XYD files mostly belong to XY-Data Viewer. Your XYD file holds X-ray diffraction data used in experiments to record and analyze material properties.

How do you open XYD files?

You need a suitable software like XY-Data Viewer to open an XYD file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your XYD file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a XYD file directly in the browser:. The content consists of readable text data, which can be read using a text editor. XYD files are between 1 KB and 140 KB in size. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as UserAdd.
