The ZPT file type is primarily associated with Zope.
What is a ZPT file?
ZPT files mostly belong to Zope. Zope Page Template files (ZPT) are mainly used to produce dynamic web content. These files are stored as text and often combine simple HTML with embedded code (commonly Python) to process data.
For example, Zope Page Templates work within the Zope framework to generate pages on the fly.
Zope Page Template: The file contains markup and code that the Zope engine processes when rendering a web page. Zippy Target File: In other cases, a ZPT file may follow the RIFF format. How do you open ZPT files?
You need a suitable software like Zope to open a ZPT file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your ZPT file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a ZPT file directly in the browser:.
