What is a CASE file?

CASE files mostly belong to EnSight by ANSYS. CASE is the file extension for a SlipCover case template file. SlipCover is a freeware application that allows users to design their own slipcovers for digital media such as CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays. A slipcover is an additional jacket, sleeve or cover for the cases of these discs. The software has been developed by Bohemian Coding and is only available for Mac computers. The software package includes some templates to create case cover designs. Users can also create custom case templates on their own. CASE files store these templates in binary format. To import a CASE file into the software, the user simply needs to double-click on the file. The next time the software is launched,the template will be visible in the drop down list in the main application window. Once a case design is ready, the user can drag and drop media files on the case previews to apply them directly.

How can I open a CASE file?

You need a suitable software like EnSight to open a CASE file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your CASE file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a CASE file directly in the browser:. The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the CASE files is as follows:

The CASE file extension is not widely used. Such a file includes many different file formats. The following file formats are most commonly found in CASE files:
