What is a DRM file?

DRM files mostly belong to Drumlin Publisher by Drumlin Security. A DRM file contains game data such as models, audio/video clips, and assets used by Deus Ex: Human Revolution video game. Another type of DRM file is a drum kit containing drum samples created by Yamaha digital music arrangers, Single Sound BeatBuddy drum kits, and/or Drumsite simulator. How can I open a DRM file?

15% of all DRM files are Cubase Drum Map files, which are based on the XML file format. 8% of all DRM files start with the magic bytes E7 00 FD AF, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. DRM files can be up to 1 GB in size, but are often around 2 MB - 200 MB. The keywords XCAL, Solo 4 and Mobile are typical for these files. The file name 20180601_16F_P1_P5_Bank of America_F22532640.drm is characteristic of these files. Files like these are about america and bank.
