What is a FO file

FO files mostly belong to XMLSpy by Altova. The FO files are essentially associated with XSL-FO, also known as, Extensible Stylesheet Language - Format Object. XSL-FO is a markup language used for formatting XML document for screen, print and other media. The FO files saves this XML data. Subsequently any FO processor can convert that XSL-FO file into readable and printable form. The most common example of such output files are PDF, Postscript and RTF files.
