What is a GTAG file

GTAG files mostly belong to Jelbert GeoTagger by Jelbert Consulting. The file is created by the Jelbert GeoTagger device and contains geographical information relating to where photographs are taken. The file consists of multiple lines of text with a version keyword at the beginning of each line. Currently GEOTAG2 is present and the data is then comma separated. Future versions of the Jelbert GeoTagger device will have different keywords and possibly different data separators. See product Web site for updates on the file format. How can I open a GTAG file?

You need a suitable software like Jelbert GeoTagger from Jelbert Consulting to open a GTAG file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your GTAG file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a GTAG file directly in the browser:.
