What is a PC1 file?

PC1 files mostly belong to Degas Elite. PC1 files are not a single, universal file type. They appear in a few different contexts.
Most often, they are used as Atari ST graphics files created with Degas Elite. In this case the file stores image data that can include animation, and its structure is similar to the Amiga IFF format.
Other uses include:

A file used in payroll systems (sometimes called a Samoan bank file or MYOB Payroll Data File) associated with BSP Payroll.

How can I open a PC1 file?

You need a suitable software like Degas Elite to open a PC1 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your PC1 file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a PC1 file directly in the browser:.
