PC1 file format:
If you know the file format, you can also find out how to open or edit the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Below you will find our evaluation of the PC1 files:
The PC1 file extension is rarely used and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. The following file formats are most commonly found in PC1 files:
- 30% of all PC1 files are DEGAS low-res compressed bitmap files. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. The average file size is 19 KB with most files being between 4 KB and 26 KB in size.
- 30% of all PC1 files start with the bytes 120 crucial for this file format. The contents of these files can even be read by a human. PC1 files can be up to 22 KB in size, but are often around 970 bytes - 10 KB. The following filename is common: DISDATA.PC1 or samoa concept payroll 20180601.PC1. Files like these have the following tags: concept, payroll, refund and samoa.
All other PC1 files (40%) have no uniform format. Just click the "Choose your .pc1 file to view this image" button on this page to find out what your PC1 file is.
