QUEST files mostly belong to Quest Analyzer. QUEST files are compressed archives used in text adventure games. They are built using the ZIP format to bundle required game components.
This file format is mainly used by the Quest Analyzer game engine to store all the elements of a text adventure. The archive contains multiple files such as:

How to open QUEST files

QUEST file extension format:

Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Below is our analysis of the QUEST files:

The QUEST extension is quite commonly used. The file itself mainly uses a special format. The following file formats are most commonly found in QUEST files:

• 90% of all QUEST files use ZIP compression, so several files are combined and compressed into one QUEST file. 1 to 90 compressed files with names like game.aslx are common.
