What is an RBE file?

RBE files mostly belong to Ruby. RBE files are mainly used as Ruby Bytecode Executable files. They store Ruby code that has been converted into a binary format for execution by a Ruby virtual machine. This format is not meant for manual editing because the content is not plain text.

How to open an RBE file

You need a suitable software like Ruby to open an RBE file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. 96% of all RBE files are SketchUp Scrambled Ruby Script files. They consist of unreadable binary data. The file size is in the range of 910 bytes to 74 KB. It is a modern file type. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as RBS2.0. A usual file name is main.rbe. Such files are related to loader, data, activate, cabmaker, license, medeek, code and tool.
