What is a RIC file?

RIC files mostly belong to OpenRocket.

The RIC file is not defined by a single standard. Its content and purpose depend on the software that created it. Below are several common uses:

Rocket Motor Config: Used by OpenRocket to store rocket engine data and RocketCEA parameters for simulation and design.

Robot Animation: Contains data for robot or facial animation. Such files may include keyframe and motion details used in robotics projects.

Compressed PDF: Stores a PDF document in a compressed format that Adobe Acrobat Reader can open.

How to open RIC files

You need a suitable software like OpenRocket to open a RIC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
