What is an RP file?

RP files mostly belong to Axure Pro by Axure. Files with RP filename extension are usually wireframe or mockup project files created with Axure RP, a design tool for creating prototypes, mockups, and specifications for websites. An RP project file contains a diagram made up of logos, images, buttons, input fields and low fidelity visual elements used to create a website or app mockup/prototype. RP filename extension is also used to save animation clips stored in RealPix format. The contents of RP animation files are written in XML syntax. Such animations may be viewed with RealPlayer. Rainbow Painter, an obsolete image editor also used RP as its default image format.

How to open an RP file

You need a suitable software like Axure Pro to open an RP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your RP file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a RP file directly in the browser:.
