What is an SLS file

SLS files mostly belong to Salt by SaltStack. An SLS file is a software definition used by Salt (also called SaltStack) event-driven configuration automation and remote task execution software. The contents of a Salt software definition (SLS) are written in text format using YAML syntax. It is usually named init.sls. Another type of SLS file contains the backup of a Samsung phone. It contains all settings, applications, contacts, messages, and call logs which have been backed up from the phone using Kies.

How to open an SLS file

You need a suitable software like Salt to open an SLS file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined.
