What is a T02 file?

T02 files mostly belong to Topcon Tools. The T02 file is a specialized data file. Its most common use is to store GPS data collected by surveying tools. In this form, the file contains geospatial coordinates, sensor readings, and other measurements meant for precise location mapping. It is typically used with Topcon Tools. How to open a T02 file

You need a suitable software like Topcon Tools to open a T02 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. The T02 file extension is not found very often and is primarily used by a single program. However, the following two file formats are common:

• 75% of all T02 files use the same file format, which have the signature 00 00 00 0D 74 BA 79 4B CF 6B 08. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are often between 63 KB and 4 MB in size. The file type is relatively new. The keywords BZh11AY&SY are typical for these files. Such files are related to ccan.
• 7% of all T02 files use the same file format, which have the signature 08 00 00 00. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. T02 files are between 18 KB and 49 KB in size. The keywords 000000 and 000001 are typical for these files. Files like these are about taxes, and have person-related content.
