What is a T01 file?

T01 files mostly belong to T01 Converter. T01 files are files that may serve different functions depending on the system that created them.
For one group of users the file contains a TIFF (tagged Image File Format) image. In this case the T01 file is often the first segment in a tape archive, and it might be used with a tool like the T01 Converter to view or process the image.
Other T01 files store data used in financial or backup systems. For example, some files hold Indian stock data often linked with Tata Consultancy Services, while others are part of a multi-part archive in a backup scheme developed by companies such as KROS s.r.o. (KROS Data Backup).
There are also instances where the file is identified as a compressed fax file or a split archive part of a larger, compressed document.

How to open T01 files

You need a suitable software like T01 Converter to open a T01 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
