TE file format:
Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the TE files looks like this:
The TE file extension is not common and includes various formats for various programs. But the following two file formats are common:
- 40% of all TE files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "(c) Softease Limited 1995 - !TextEase - version " at the beginning. The average file size is 24 KB with most files being between 4 KB and 2 MB in size. The file type was developed 10 years ago and is still in use today. The following keywords are characteristic: Softease Limited, Softease Limited 1995 , yynn, saved on 6, FFFFFF, TextEase - version 4, version 4.00, -2104 1488, 0 Windows, TextEase - version 5, Documents and saved on 5.
- 30% of all TE files start with the magic bytes 97 BF 21 76 C3 59 21 82 9E 78 AF FA 9C 04 8D 5E, which are always the first bytes of this file format. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are often between 53 MB and 230 MB in size. The keywords qE(q are typical for these files. An example of a file name is 1-ELECTRIC FIELD AND COULOMB-S LAW.te or 1-introduction of mechanics.te. These files can be linked to particlenatureofwaves.
The remaining 30% of all TE files are different files with different signatures. If you want to find out what your TE file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.
