What is a TZX file?

TZX files mostly belong to Ramsoft MakeTZX. TZX files serve two distinct functions.

ZX Spectrum tape image: These files hold data in the form of a cassette tape image. They capture timing, command blocks, and even error conditions to mimic the original loading process on a ZX Spectrum. Produced by tools such as Ramsoft MakeTZX, they work with emulators like CSpect.

How to open a TZX file

You need a suitable software like Ramsoft MakeTZX to open a TZX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. Tanzzle derives from the well known tangram game. Tangram is a Chinese puzzle made by cutting a square of thin material into five triangles, a square, and a rhomboid.
