What is a WP3 file?

WP3 files mostly belong to WinPlot by University of Hawaiʻi Mānoa. WP3 filename extension is associated with data files used by Winplot, a 2D and 3D graph plotting utility for Windows operating system. WP3 filename extension is also used to save projects created with Photo Story, a discontinued photo management software with a toolkit for photo editing and slideshow creation. A VP3 project file contains transitions, captions, effects, background music and images used to create a slideshow. Unlike the project files created by Movie Maker and most photo/video editors, VP3 files actually contain media assets (images and videos) used in the project because the file is an archive stored in CAB format but with VP3 filename extension. How to open WP3 files

You need a suitable software like WinPlot to open a WP3 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
