How to open XTB files

XTB file format:

A file format defines how the data in the file is structured. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. XTB is seldom used as a file extension and is used by a few programs, each with its own file format. But the following two file formats are common:

• 40% of all XTB files internally utilize the XML file format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. These files are plain text, which means they can be viewed with any text editor such as Windows Editor, Nano for Linux, and TextEdit for macOS. XTB files are between 490 bytes and 200 KB in size. The file type is very recent. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. <!DOCTYPE translationbundle>, translationbundle lang, translation id, <?xml version="1.0" ?>, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>, <TABExchangeFile>, <fileHeader company="Schneider, Schneider Automation, dateTime, date_and_time and product. Some examples of file names are Test Bravermana - joe smith 01-06-2020 10.30.xtb. Such files are related to strings, generated, resources, bravermana and android.
• 15% of all XTB files start with the magic bytes ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ, which are always the first bytes of this file format. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The files are often between 1 KB and 19 KB in size. Some examples of file names are CollectionRoom_chara_Cnv.xtb or ev_msg_ev110_e.xtb. Such files sometimes refer to dynamic, text, achievement, collection, chara, skill and room.

The remaining 45% of all XTB files are different files with different signatures, frequently e.g. DOC, ZIP, config and UTF-8. They are often associated with auto, landscape, keyboard, customize, settings, items, title or hint.
