What is a CDT file?

CDT files mostly belong to CorelDRAW by Corel. CDT is the filename extension of templates used to create drawings in CorelDRAW vector graphics editor. Such CDT files contain the configuration, layout, size, fill, styles, and other properties used to create multiple CDR images in CorelDRAW. CDT is also the filename extension of templates containing predefined diagrams used to generate CDD (vector diagrams) in ConceptDraw PRO (now ConceptDraw DIAGRAM) business diagramming software. iCloud, a cloud storage and cloud computing application saves transaction logs in CDT files coded in ZIP format. Such CDT files contain a property list file named "contents". Compact disc burning programs such as Nero and ImgBurn use CDT (CD-Text) files to store metadata such as album titles, song names, and artist names according the Red Book specification for authoring audio CDs. ProWORX, a software for programming Modicon range programmable logic controllers, saves temporary long comment data in CDT files.

How to open a CDT file

You need a suitable software like CorelDRAW to open a CDT file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
