MON file format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the MON files is as follows:
The MON file type has no uniform or dominant file format. The two most common formats are as follows:

The following keywords are characteristic: ============, DATE, TIME, Data file for DataLogger, COMPANY : <Company name> and COMP.STATUS: Do.
- 10% of all MON files use the ZIP format, i.e. a MON file contains several compressed files. Most often they are 1 to 100 compressed files.
