Opening an OFT File
The OFT file type is primarily associated with Microsoft Outlook.
What is an OFT file?
OFT files mostly belong to Microsoft Outlook by Microsoft. The OFT(Outlook Form Template) file type is used to create reusable customized email templates with Microsoft's Outlook, a popular email client bundled with their Office Suite. It was added to Outlook to introduce email templates that can be reused indefinitely. This saves the time needed to recreate the email multiple times, especially in business environments where similar emails need to be sent to multiple recipients.
The OFT file format is built on top of the MSG file type, which is based on streams and stream storage, and uses a CBF(Compound Binary File) file at its core. However, OFT uses the CLSID_TemplateMessage(0006F046-0000-0000-C000-000000000046) storage class, unlike the MSG format which uses the CLSID_MailMessage(00020D0B-0000-0000-C000-000000000046)class. This class allows complex multi-valued properties of the email object to be stored.
An OFT file can be created easily by saving a new email in Outlook by selecting Outlook Template in the program's Save As Type option drop-down. The template can have multiple fields and attachments and can be used by choosing User Template in File System in Outlook's New Email options.
OFT files can be opened (for viewing only) by desktop and mobile file viewer programs, even without having Outlook installed. These file viewers include DotStella, File Viewer Plus, OFT File Viewer and File Viewer for Android among others.

Citrix's ICA Client, which is a remote desktop support program that transmits graphic data and commands from the mouse and keyboard over a network.

How do you open OFT files?
You need a suitable software like Microsoft Outlook from Microsoft to open an OFT file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
