What is a REM file

REM files mostly belong to Act! by Act!. A REM file contains data encrypted by a BlackBerry smartphone. This file can only be decrypted using a BlackBerry smartphone or the BlackBerry Desktop software. BlackBerry, the company was previously named Research In Motion. Another type of REM file is the memory swap used to transfer a page between the main and auxiliary memory when developing an app with Delphi IDE. REM is also the filename extension of the database maintenance file used by some versions of Act! customer relationship management software for Windows.
