DF files mostly belong to Various.

Why is it important to know the file format? This is the only way to find out which program to use to open the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our analysis of the DF files produces the following result:
Files with the DF extension are quite widely used. This file type includes very many different file formats. But the following two file formats are common:
- 10% of all DF files are based on the well-known PDF file format. PDF is short for Portable Document Format, is a file format to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The average file size is 170 KB with most files being between 34 KB and 2 MB in size. This file type is based on cutting-edge technology. The following filename is common: web-99-hw-01.df. Files like these are about person-related data.
- 7% of all DF files are based on the popular UTF-8 file format. UTF-8 is the World Wide Web's most common character encoding for Unicode. UTF-8 files can be viewed with any text editor. These files start with the 3 bytes  (hex: EF BB BF), the so called byte order mark (BOM). The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The average file size is 19 KB with most files being between 12 KB and 59 KB in size. These files are often associated with task, cost, head and invc.
