What is a DF1 file?

DF1 files mostly belong to Omnis7. DF1 files are internal database file formats. They are used to store structured data and metadata within specific database applications.

How to open DF1 files

• 50% of all DF1 files start with the bytes 2A 01 00 00, which are crucial for this file format. They consist of unreadable binary data. DF1 files are between 250 KB and 120 MB in size. The file type was created 20 years ago but is still used today. Files like these are sometimes connected to paydata, data, omnispic and copiede.
• 6% of all DF1 files start with the magic bytes 2C 01 00 00 00 00 00 00, which are always the first bytes of this file format. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. The file size is in the range of 66 KB to 250 MB.
