DGL file format:

To view or edit DGL files you need to know the file format, because it determines how the data in this file is stored. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. Nonetheless, different programs can utilize the same file extension to represent distinct file formats. Double-clicking on the file often results in an error when opening. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our evaluation of the DGL files is as follows:

DGL is rarely used as a file extension and has no uniform or dominant file format. But the following two file formats are common:

• 15% of all DGL files start with the magic bytes R ÀÃG>â¬Ksé}êy, which are always the first bytes of this file format. These files are binary files, so they do not contain text, but only cryptic characters. The file size is in the range of 2 MB to 44 MB. The keywords 1W3xN, n&gL and !IFk are typical for these files. These files are attributed to druckdatei and fotobuch, and often include person-related information.
• 10% of all DGL files use the same file format, which have the signature 18 C2 39 AF 83 A2 8B 75 A5 8A EC 3B C9 D5 DA 5F. They consist of unreadable binary data. The files are often between 4 MB and 37 MB in size. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as rhAV. These files are attributed to order, archivo and pedido.
