What is a DOTM file?

DOTM files mostly belong to Word by Microsoft. A DOTM file is a macro-enabled document template created with the 2007 and higher versions of Word document processor. It contains a template with customizable user interface elements such as text fields, layouts, hyperlinks, and images. The DOTM file is actually a ZIP-compressed archive saved in OpenXML format.
