What is an ERB file?

ERB files mostly belong to Sublime by Sublime. ERB is the native file format for storing music scores created with Braille Music Reader music authoring software. Music scores stored in an ERB file includes musical notes, key, settings, tempo, and metronome saved in a format that is readable by visually impaired persons. ERB is also the filename extension of document templates used by the Embedded Ruby (ERB) template engine which is part of Ruby programing language standard library. An ERB template contains plain text and Ruby code written in Embedded Ruby syntax. When run through the ERB engine, such templates can be used to generate various kinds of documents especially HTML pages. All Ruby code stored in the ERB file are enclosed by <% %> execution tags. How to open ERB files

You need a suitable software like Sublime to open an ERB file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your ERB file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a ERB file directly in the browser:.
