What is an FLE file?

FLE files mostly belong to RDM-Flexion. FLE files are specialized data files used in two distinct workflows.

RDM-Flexion Data: This variant stores finite element model information (as used in the RDM 6/7 Finite Element Model). It holds simulation parameters, mesh designs, and boundary condition data. Only the vendor-specific RDM-Flexion software can properly open and interpret this internal format.

Fuel Transaction Data: This type records fuel transactions using a fixed-length record structure. Each data field is allotted a predetermined number of characters, making it crucial to use a text editor or a parser set up for fixed-length formats.

How can I open an FLE file?

FLE file format:

The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. However, different programs can use the same file extension.
