What is an FPG file

FPG files mostly belong to FlexiPanel Editor. FPG files are not a single standard but a set of proprietary data containers used in different fields. The most common type is the PanelView HMI project file from FlexiPanel. This file stores configuration data for Human Machine Interface projects in industrial environments.

HMI Projects: These files keep screen layouts, control settings, and interface elements for panel-based control systems.

Game Data & Graphics: Some FPG files work as game graphics or animation data files (for example, used in OpenBOR and Far Cry), with a few being compressed (often via GZIP) to store fanmade game data.

Image Formats: A set known as the FlyingShine image format is used to keep picture data.

How do you open FPG files?

You need a suitable software like FlexiPanel Editor to open an FPG file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your FPG file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a FPG file directly in the browser:.
