What is an LS file?

LS files mostly belong to LightWave 3D by NewTek. An LS file is a script written in LScript scripting language and used to create a plugin in LightWave 3D computer-aided design and modeling software. This script may be compiled to a binary executable (LSC) using LScript's compiler (LSCompiler). The LSC file compiled from an LS script may be executed with LScript/RT. LSCompiler and LScript/RT are bundled with LightWave 3D. LS is also the filename extension of a solution in a project created with LightScape 3D model lighting software. 3DS Max can import and use such LS solution files.

How to open an LS file

You need a suitable software like LightWave 3D to open an LS file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
