PHP file format details:
The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Our evaluation of the PHP files is as follows:
PHP is a very common file type and is used by different programs with different formats. The two most common formats are as follows:
- 40% of all PHP files are associated with PHP source. These files contain text and words, not binary data. PHP files can be up to 650 KB in size, but are often around 270 bytes - 26 KB. The file type is relatively new. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as <?php. The following filename is common: Index.php. These files are attributed to config, login, install, activation, model, propstory, settings, pegasus, process, request, shell, auth and user.
- 15% of all PHP files internally utilize the PDF file format. PDF is short for Portable Document Format, is a file format to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. PHP files are between 52 KB and 2 MB in size. Files like these are about pluginfile, image, view, download, passport, payslip and html.
All other PHP files (45%) have different formats, frequently e.g. Photoparade Slideshow, HTML, JFIF, DOC, MP4, ZIP, UTF-8, PNG, JSON and extends. The category is blade, display, data, contact, print, video, card, crop or edit. You can get all the details of your PHP file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .php file to view this image" above.
