All about PI Files
The PI file type is primarily associated with Game engines.
What is a PI file?
They are not standard image formats and are tailored for use within specific game engines.
FilExt.com tip: For further technical details on game engine file support, see the manufacturer's page.
How do you open PI files?
You need a suitable software like Game engines to open a PI file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your PI file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a PI file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

PI file format:
A file format defines how the data in the file is structured. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. In the following you will find our evaluation of the PI files:
The PI file extension is rarely used and includes various formats for various programs. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 30% of all PI files are Pi bitmap files. They consist of unreadable binary data. The files are often between 730 bytes and 27 KB in size. The file type was created 20 years ago but is still used today. Files like these are about cong.
- 10% of all PI files have the same signature °VN. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. The files are often between 1 KB and 12 KB in size. An example of a file name is aizen.pi.
All other PI files (60%) have no uniform format, often e.g. XML and SIMPLE. Tagged as formulir, analis, ariani, pangan, solexs or wita. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your PI file!

How to solve problems with PI files
- Associate the PI file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open data files. Because only the current version supports the latest PI file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available Game engines update.
- To make sure that your PI file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .PI file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
