What is a PIE file?

PIE files mostly belong to ProtoPie. Your PIE file is most often a ProtoPie prototype file. It stores interactive UI/UX data such as layered design elements, animation states, and transition actions. Files of this kind are created by the ProtoPie tool (ProtoPie) and are used during the design and testing of app interfaces.
Other uses for PIE files include:

How to open PIE files

You need a suitable software like ProtoPie to open a PIE file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your PIE file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a PIE file directly in the browser:. PIE file format:

Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. In the following you will find our evaluation of the PIE files:

The PIE file extension is used very often and covers different formats for different programs. The following file formats are most commonly found in PIE files:

• 40% of all PIE files have the same signature 11 14 2C 1A 26 29 10 21 18 2F 2F 25 15 1D 15 1A. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. PIE files are between 20 KB and 4 MB in size. The file type is relatively new. The keywords (LQ!)"D= are typical for these files. Files like these are about xlsx and pptx.
• 25% of all PIE files start with the magic bytes 00 42 F3 68, which are always the first bytes of this file format. They consist of unreadable binary data. PIE files can be up to 290 MB in size, but are often around 150 KB - 26 MB. The keywords KhQ$ are typical for these files. Files like these are sometimes connected to prototype, proto, interactions, gamified, protopie and health.
