REPLAY file format:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Below you will find our evaluation of the REPLAY files:
REPLAY is a very commonly used file extension and predominantly uses a uniform format. The file formats most commonly found in REPLAY files are:
- 70% of all REPLAY files are associated with Unreal Engine Replay. They consist of unreadable binary data. The average file size is 14 MB with most files being between 3 MB and 20 MB in size. The file type is relatively new. An example of a file name is UnsavedReplay-2020.06.01 10.30.replay. Files like these have the following tags: unsaved, demo, kills, solo, kill, game, clutch, sniper and 3D model.
- 10% of all REPLAY files have the same signature 00 00. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. REPLAY files can be up to 10 MB in size, but are often around 730 KB - 1 MB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as IntProperty, TAGame.Replay_Soccar_TA, TeamSize, Team0Score, UnfairTeamSize, Team1Score and PrimaryPlayerTeam. Such files sometimes refer to loss, football, doubles, association, casual, ranked, reset and acff.
The remaining 20% of all REPLAY files are different files with different signatures, the following 15 formats exist: zlib, JSON, GZIP, SXLDF and rustedWarfareReplay. The category is small, apocalypse, island, temple, brawlhaven or best. If you want to find out what your REPLAY file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.
