What is an RGD file?

RGD files mostly belong to RAFT by Redbeet. An RGD file is a saved game created by RAFT video game. This file is saved in the \AppData\LocalLow\Raft\Raft\SavedGames folder. It contains information about a player's current status and progress through the game. RAFT uses information saved in an RGD file to resume/restore a player's gaming session while maintaining all statistics for the player's water, health, food, and other supplies. RGD is also the filename extension of a data archive used by Relic video games in the War Hammer series. 15% of all RGD files start with the magic bytes Relic Chunky , which are always the first bytes of this file format. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The files are often between 1 KB and 110 KB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. DATAAEGD and Relic Chunky. Such RGD files store data about squad, race, marine, guard, space and chaos.
