How to open a VAB file

You need a suitable software like DAZ Studio to open a VAB file. VAB file format:

Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our examination of the VAB files comes to the following conclusion:

VAB is not a commonly used file extension and is used by different programs with different formats. But the following two file formats are common:

• 60% of all VAB files have the same signature 0C 44 79 6E 61 6D 69 63 53 74 6F 72 65 03 31 2E. They consist of unreadable binary data. A typical file size is 780 KB. The file type was developed only in the last few years. The following keywords are characteristic: DynamicStore and DAZMesh. These files are often associated with hair, afvr, long, stockings, choker, dress and suit, and often consist of personal data.
• 20% of all VAB files are associated with PlayStation Sound Source Data. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are 18 KB to 320 KB in size, with a median of 100 KB. The following keywords are characteristic: pBAV.
