What is a VEG file?

VEG files mostly belong to VEGAS Pro by MAGIX. Video project files created with VEGAS Pro video editing software have VEG filename extension. A VEG project contains the timeline, transitions, effects, text, project configuration, and references to the media sources (audio and video) files used in a project. VEG files may also be used as a VEGAS Pro project archive which contains resources used in the project. The VEG file itself is a generic file container stored in Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) so it may be exported to other video editors. Users may also export completed video projects to standard video formats. Vue, a 3D modeling and animation software developed by e-on, saves vegetation data in VEG files. The contents of the file may include data used to generate plants, trees, terrains, and landscapes which are incorporated into a 3D scene. Vue uses Solidgrowth technology to target and grow individual plants with the information stored in VEG files.

How to open VEG files

You need a suitable software like VEGAS Pro to open a VEG file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
